Live Like a Local Amazon Tour 6Days / 5Nights Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Iquitos and Transfer to the Lodge
- Morning:
- Arrive at Iquitos International Airport (IQT). Our bilingual private Guide will be outside the door waiting for you.
- Transfer to the lodge in a Van to San Joaquin Village, Then via wooden boat along the Amazon River (approx. 3.5 hours total).
- Afternoon:
- Check-in and welcome drink.
- Lunch at the lodge.
- Orientation session about the Amazon rainforest and what to expect during your stay.
- Evening:
- Night walk in the rainforest to observe nocturnal wildlife and listen to the sounds of the jungle.
- Dinner at the lodge.
Day 2: Wildlife Exploration
- Recommendations. Bring Binocular, insect repellent, water, sun block along with you for any excursion. Ask to you personal guide for suggestions.
- Before Breakfast Excursion:
- Early breakfast, guided walk through the rainforest. Discover various flora and fauna, including medicinal plants and unique wildlife.
- Breakfast at the lodge.
- After Breakfast Excursion:
- Explore the corners of the rainforest searching for Monkeys(at least 10 species)
- Animals spotting along the Yanayacu river.
- Afternoon Excursion:
- Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest.
- Participate in a guided jungle trek to learn about medicinal plants of the Amazon and the ecosystem.
- Evening Excursion:
- Enjoy dinner at the lodge.
- Optional: Join a stargazing session to view the constellations in the clear Amazonian sky.
Days 3-4-5 : River Activities and Wildlife Spotting. Each Day Start A New Excursion.
Choose the excursion or activity each day. There many option.You can ask for recommendation to your Guide. There are more options for you! Live Like a Local!
Excursions such as: Fish for Piranhas, Giant Water Lilis Hike (deppends on the water level), frogs searching, Stargazin in the Amazon, Nocturnal Wildlife spotting, Snake searching at Nighttime, Dyatime River Cruise, Capybara Searching, Pink Dolphins watching, Birdwatching and etc. See our excursion list or talk to your personal Guide and ask for what you can do everyday.
- Breakfast at the Lodge
- Morning Excursion:
- Get ready for new adventures
- Take a canoe trip through the flooded forest, looking for monkeys, sloths, and caimans.
- After breakfast, visit a local community to learn about the culture and traditions of the indigenous people. Participate in activities like crafting or cooking.
- Midday:
- Lunch at the Lodge surrounded by nature and a short rest
- Afternoon Excursion:
- Engage in fishing for piranhas (with guidance from your guide).
- Return to the lodge and enjoy some leisure time (reading a book).
- Evening Excursion:
- Dinner at the lodge.
- Nocturnal wildlife spotting like Caimans, Birds, Frogs.
- Lucky Guests can find Capybaras.Try out everyday.
Day 6: Head back to Iquitos
- Morning:
- Breakfast at the lodge.
- Depending on your flight schedule,Take a final guided walk in the rainforest to spot any wildlife you may have missed (don´t forget to pack before)
- Farewell to your new friends at the Lodge.
- Midday:
- Return to Iquitos via boat then car
- Depending on your flight schedule, explore Iquitos’ markets for unique souvenirs (such as artisan crafts and Amazonian products). Optional, Talk to your Guide
- Transfer to Iquitos International Airport for your departure or dropp-off at your Hotel.
